STORY SHEPHERD. AUTHOR ALLY.
PROFESSIONAL PARTNER.
I’m an audiobook wizard.
I get to wield the writer’s magic. To alchemize text. Conjure connections. Light up our shared human carnival ride.
I walk worlds to deliver engaging, nuanced performances. From kitchen table dramas to warp-speed galactic adventures to heart-pounding, brain-melting thrillers.
My sound? Velvet baritone. Cozy enough to curl up in. Clear enough to cut glass.
Plus I have a stocked Kentucky stable of characters and dialects champing at the bit to go the distance.
Content-wise, I’m dazzled by juicy, gutsy writing that flirts with danger and hangs out in dark alleys. I’m a sucker for fresh LGBTQ+ stories. For untethered authors with bleeding-edge imaginations.
As for my chops, I’ve spent 30+ years on stages, in Adland, and steering non-profits through choppy waters. I’m not only a versatile voice. I’m a thinking cap. A riddle solver. I deliver quality on time and under budget, without driving you crazy in the process.
So what are you waiting for? Let’s do this.
FULL-SERVICE VOICE TALENT
As a professional voice talent, my job is to narrate the Big Audiobook of Life.
To discover the human quirks and charms hiding in cold corporate jargon.
To manifest your favorite fourth-grade teacher so e-learning at any level is a breeze.
To hold your hand through the complex, sometimes scary maze of medical narration.
To prophesy from street corners urgent public service announcements.
To corral colorful characters for commercials, animations, video games, and general mayhem.
Whatever your project, I’ll find its story and bring it to life.
SOME OF MY STORY
Party-monster era New York.
A theater degree from the University of Kentucky landed me an internship. Circle Rep Theater. The production? Truth Tellers by Joyce Carol Oates.
Next 20th Century Fox.
For the J. Peterman Company catalog. We hawked original costumes & props from the blockbuster Titanic. I walked the red carpet.
Back home, I helped petition the World Monuments Fund to protect Kentucky from sprawl. They listed the Bluegrass as one of the most endangered landscapes on the planet.
Other passions? I’m a published poet, award-winning copywriter, essayist, and short story author. Also worked as an ad agency creative director, graphic designer, and website builder.
I’m executive director of RADIOLEX, our non-profit community radio station. Broadcast production, community engagement, fundraising, and more.
All along I meditate. Sitting with leading Buddhist and mindfulness teachers. Sitting in church basements with addicts and alcoholics.
It’s been an amazing ride so far…

LOGO & LORE
My logo is a stylized griffin from the Royse family crest. It’s a reminder that I don’t do anything alone. Generations of men & women, lovers & fighters, saints & sinners, heroes & thieves got me to where I am today. Their lives, lusts, and loves stir my blood, drive my desires, and keep the whole grand show going.
